Sam Milby confirmed on Tuesday, 18 February, that he and longtime fiancé Catriona Gray have broken up, almost a year after rumors of their split started.
In a media conference with ABS-CBN News for the Kapamilya drama series Saving Grace, he directly addressed these reports.
However, the actor also clarified that there aren’t any rifts between them, saying “If you want to ask if we’re okay, we are okay. We have no problem with each other.”
The ex-couple were engaged in 2023, but people observed the following year that Gray, who was crowned Miss Universe in 2018, had deleted from Instagram all her posts featuring Milby.
While Milby did not state the reason behind their breakup, he downlayed rumors a third party was the reason for their breakup, quashing speculation that he had been involved with singer Moira dela Torre.
“There was never a third party sa amin ni Cat. That needs to be cleared. There is no truth to it at all,” he explained.
He then pleaded the public not to believe what's coming out online.
“It makes me sad. I have a warning for the public. Please be careful of what you see online. If there’s no evidence, don’t just believe what you see because in this incident, there’s absolutely no truth to it at all,” he said.
Milby and Gray were recently seen at TJ Monterde's concert, where she was spotted crying during one of the songs.
Milby added that he is moving on from the breakup by “focusing on work and just growing.”
