As dengue cases continue to rise in various parts of the country, Senate Committee on Health chairman Senator Christopher “Bong” Go has called on local leaders to take the lead in ensuring clean communities and safeguarding public health.
On Thursday morning, Senator Go was in Pampanga, where he was invited to the birthday celebration of Pampanga Vice Governor Lilia Pineda.
During the event, Go had the opportunity to speak with barangay captains and other officials to express his gratitude for their efforts in bringing government services closer to the people.
Go reminded the local leaders to always prioritize the welfare of their constituents and to make public health a top priority — especially during times when severe diseases like dengue pose a threat.
The senator personally greeted Vice Governor Pineda on her birthday and thanked her for her effective healthcare initiatives.
