Taguig City police arrested two individuals and seized P488,000 worth of suspected shabu in separate anti-drug operations as part of their ongoing crackdown against illegal drugs.
The first operation took place in Barangay Maharlika Village, Taguig City. Authorities apprehended a 29-year-old security guard, alias “Fahad,” a resident of the area.
He was caught in possession of 51.7 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P351,560. Police also recovered the buy-bust money and a dark blue pouch.
Fahad, identified as a high-value individual (HVI), faces charges for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
In a separate operation, police arrested another suspect, alias “Jon-Jon,” a 40-year-old tricycle driver from Barangay Rizal.
Operatives from the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) confiscated nine heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu, weighing approximately 20.2 grams and valued at P137,360.
