Authorities reported that two siblings were arrested while selling illegal drugs in Barangay Sta. Ana, Taguig City over the weekend.
Police identified the suspects as alias Rosario and alias Rio, who apprehended by officers from the Taguig City Police while in possession of over P700,000 worth of suspected shabu and kush.
According to Southern Police District spokesperson PMaj. Hazel Asilo, patrolling officers encountered the suspects while conducting their rounds. Another individual, identified as the siblings’ nephew, managed to escape the scene.
“This is all they know how to do, aside from the man who sometimes works part-time as a maintenance worker... an electrician, something like that,” Asilo said, adding that the siblings have a history of involvement in the illegal drug trade.
“The area of operation of these siblings is in Barangays Tipas and Sta. Ana, Taguig. We found out that when they operate, they have specific locations because if you go beyond your territory, that’s when shootings happen,” said Asilo.
