Isabela City ready to receive investors, tourists

ISABELA CITY, Basilan — The city government of Isabela expressed readiness to receive and accommodate fresh investors and tourists as part of its economic growth agenda.

Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia Hataman revealed yesterday that the city government has outlined strategies and programs to further improve the economy and promote economic growth after the military declared the city as Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG)-Free in the province.

“The city is now ready to receive fresh investment from investors and tourists, both local and foreign,” the city mayor said.

Additionally, she said “We are also inviting investors who would want to invest in our city. We are experiencing a steadfast in economic develop in the city.”

“Our economic managers are now developing better ways to serve the needs of businesses and real estate developers who would want to consider investing in our city,” Hataman said.

By weaving together government, business, and social sectors, Isabela City creates positive economic and community outcomes for our clients on their expansion, development, and investment projects in the city.

She also said “Our different tourist destinations in the city are being recognized by the different government tourist agencies and private travel agencies.”

The police and military authorities also assured the safety of the tourists visiting the city, she said.

In the promotion of economic growth,  the local government has outlined strategies and programs to improve the  economy and promote economic growth.

These include revenue generation, Infrastructure provision, enterprise development, governance, and institutional reform, reducing regulatory barriers, improving the environment for competition, and supporting digital transformation.

For now,  we have  already submitted our new revenue code to the Bureau of Local Government Finance for their review.

 “In our new revenue code, we have outlined some new economic enterprise, we will also offer a tax holiday  to investors,” she said.
