Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents arrested two individuals on Christmas Day in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, seizing P6.8 million worth of suspected shabu.
The suspects, identified as alias Jesson and his nephew, alias John were apprehended during a buy-bust operation around 3:50 p.m. on 25 December in Sitio Lower Matumbo, Barangay Pusok.
Authorities confiscated approximately one kilogram of suspected shabu, buy-bust money, a smartphone and other evidence during the operation.
PDEA reported that another suspect, a certain Rasheed, managed to escape.
The seized drugs were submitted to the Philippine National Police’s Forensic Unit 7 for chemical analysis.
