SOLSONA, Ilocos Norte — A 44-year-old man was apprehended early Tuesday morning after police served a search warrant that led to the confiscation of an unlicensed firearm, several rounds of ammunition, and a sachet of suspected shabu.
Personnel from the Solsona Municipal Police Station (MPS), led by P/Maj. Chris Anthony L. Sorsano, in coordination with the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company and the Provincial Intelligence Unit, implemented the search warrant around 7 a.m. Wednesday, in Sitio Kadingrasan, Barangay Nagpatpatan, Solsona, Ilocos Norte.
The warrant, issued by Hon. Dinah Myrtle M. Pacquing, Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Court, was for a violation of Section 28, Article V of Republic Act 10591, also known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
