Most of the senatorial candidates backed by the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. showed the way in a recent election survey.
The result of the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) senatorial preference survey for the 2025 elections, in partnership with the Stratbase Group, released on Friday showed that 10 of Marcos admin-backed senatorial bets landed in the magic 12.
The SWS survey was conducted in face-to-face interviews with 2,097 registered voters nationwide from 12 to 18 December and had a margin of error of 2.1 percent.
Respondents were asked to identify their top senatorial preferences ahead of the 2025 midterm elections.
The respondents were presented with a list of 70 names and asked to choose only 12.
The SWS survey result came a week after Pulse Asia conducted a senatorial preference poll from 26 November to 3 December.
Among the admin-backed senators were House Deputy Majority Leader Erwin Tulfo, who retained the top spot with 45 percent of respondents saying they would vote for him.
