BALANGA CITY, Bataan—Governor Jose Enrique "Joet" Garcia aims to achieve a 100 percent implementation of the Learning Management System (LMS) in the province’s public schools.
Briefing local newsmen on Friday during the Year-End Kapihan with local media, Gov. Garcia provided updates on key provincial initiatives.
The Bataan governor earlier distributed MacBook laptops to 3,234 elementary and junior high school department heads and teachers in Bataan.
He noted that teachers previously relied on notebooks and textbooks, but with the new laptops, they can now transition to online learning tools.
Gov.
(“These laptops are a big help in enriching and speeding up the work of our teachers. Aside from this, we are also pushing to attain 100 percent LMS implementation, which we will introduce to schools so that teachers can now use an online database and students can access various modules and learning resources.”)
Gov. Garcia also highlighted the Healthy School Settings program, which delivers nutritious lunches to over 27,000 Grade 1 and 2 students, with plans to eventually expand the program to all grade school levels. He emphasized that promoting early nutrition supports sustainable healthcare and improves life expectancy for Bataeños.
He further celebrated the Kapihan Tayo, Bataeño program’s recognition as the Public Service Campaign Award - Provincial Level winner at the inaugural Parangal: Gawad ng Kahusayan sa Komunikasyong Pampubliko by the Presidential Communications Office. He also commended the Provincial Information Office, led by Ms. Angel Lara, for their dedication.
Governor Garcia provided additional updates, including the distribution of laptops to teachers, progress on the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge, and preparations for the 268th Bataan Founding Anniversary.
