CABANATUAN CITY — Senator JV Ejercito joined hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts and active and retired police officials Saturday for a charity ride aimed at helping underprivileged individuals.

The fundraising event, dubbed the “Lakan Ride for a Cause 2025,” was held at the Nueva Ecija Convention Center in Palayan City. It was hosted by Nueva Ecija police director Col. Heryl Daguit Bruno.

The ride was organized by the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Alumni Association Inc. (Lakan), with the Police Regional Office 3, led by Brig. Gen. Rogelio “Pojie” Peñones, serving as the implementing partner, Bruno said.

The nationwide gathering brought together motorcycle riders and PNPA alumni to promote camaraderie, road safety and community service.

Ejercito, himself a well-known riding enthusiast, was among the notable attendees, along with Palayan City Mayor Viandre Nicole J. Cuevas and retired police officials, including Lt. Gen. Rhoderick Armamento and Gen. Rudy Lacadin.

Peñones, known for his religious background, said proceeds from the event will benefit the PNPA Alumni Association’s charitable initiatives, which provide assistance to underprivileged individuals and communities across the nation.

Following the long ride, which saw enthusiasts travel from various parts of the country, the activity concluded with a boodle fight, symbolizing unity, brotherhood and a shared commitment to service among the participants.
