LGUs coordination needed on infra projects, says Ebrahim

Zamboanga City — Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim has urged all ministries of BARMM to closely coordinate with the local government units in prioritizing infrastructure projects in the BARMM component provinces.
Ebrahim made the call during the 2nd Bangsamoro Economic Development Council meeting held in Zamboanga City on Saturday.
"The BEDC meeting is prioritizing the coordination between the BARMM government and the local government in the area. We want to harmonize the programs of BARMM and the local government units," Ebrahim said.
According to Ebrahim, BARMM is prioritizing infrastructure projects in the Bangsamoro region and has allotted P594 billion to fund infrastructure projects starting this year until 2028.
He highlighted the pivotal role of each LGU in streamlining and fast-tracking the completion of programs, projects, and activities in their locality.
