Fisherfolk in Jomalig, Quezon, received a deep-sea fishing vessel worth P8.6 million from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region IV-A to help expand their livelihood opportunities and improve their incomes.

The vessel was formally awarded during a memorandum of agreement signing, project launch and turnover ceremony on 27 October in Barangay Ungos, Real, Quezon, according to the provincial government.

Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources head John Francis Luzano and Livelihood and Enterprise Unit head Lawrence Joseph Velasco attended on behalf of Quezon Governor Helen Tan.
