Xiaomi is highlighting improved drop resistance, water protection and battery longevity in its REDMI Note 17 series, which launched in the Philippines in September 2026.
The lineup includes the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, Note 17 Pro 5G, Note 17 5G and standard Note 17, with varying levels of protection under the company’s Titan Durability technology.
The two Pro models feature Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and reinforced internal frames designed to distribute impact forces and reduce the risk of damage.
According to Xiaomi, laboratory testing by SGS showed that the Pro models could withstand drops of up to three meters onto granite. The devices also received TÜV SÜD five-star drop resistance certification.
Meanwhile, the standard and 5G models use Gorilla Glass 7i for scratch protection.
Water and battery protection
The Pro variants carry IP69 and IP69K ratings, indicating resistance to specified high-pressure and high-temperature water exposure under laboratory conditions.
The standard Note 17 and Note 17 5G carry IP65 ratings, providing protection against dust and water jets.
All four models feature Wet Touch Technology 2.0, which helps maintain touchscreen responsiveness when fingers or the display are wet.
For battery performance, Xiaomi claims the Note 17 Pro Max 5G can last up to three days under its typical-use testing conditions.
