Travelers passing through Bohol-Panglao International Airport (BPIA), operated by Aboitiz InfraCapital Bohol Airport Corporation (ABAC), now have more opportunities to shop, dine and discover products that reflect the character of Bohol, with new retail concepts complementing the airport’s existing commercial offerings.
Since assuming operations of BPIA, ABAC has welcomed several new merchants, adding to the range of travel essentials, dining options, retail concepts and locally made products available to arriving and departing passengers.
First and last stop of the journey
“For many travelers, the airport is both the first and last stop of their journey. We want that experience to reflect the warmth, creativity, and identity of Bohol,” said Aldwin C. Uy, general manager of Bohol–Panglao International Airport.
“By welcoming more retail concepts — particularly those showcasing locally made products — we’re creating an airport experience that is more convenient for passengers while providing meaningful opportunities for local businesses and artisans to reach visitors from around the world,” he added.
For food and beverage, travelers can choose from House of Fruitas, Jamaican Pattie Shop, and Pick Up Coffee, offering convenient options for a quick meal, snack, or drink before continuing their journey.
Meanwhile, the airport’s retail and shopping mix now includes Duty Free Philippines, Momento, Nomad, Tesoros (Filipino Treasures), Island Souvenirs and Sunglass Gallery.
Products from local enterprises
Complementing these commercial offerings are products from local enterprises, giving greater visibility to Boholano sellers through the Department of Trade and Industry’s One Town, One Produc Program.
Several stores at BPIA carry authentic Boholano delicacies, handcrafted products, locally made souvenirs and goods from community-based enterprises.
Travelers can also find a wide selection of local crafts, apparel, and Boholano delicacies at Aproniana Gift Shop in Baclayon, a one-stop destination for souvenirs and pasalubong.
Together, these offerings reflect the airport’s role not only as the province’s primary gateway but also as an extension of the Bohol travel experience, giving visitors opportunities to encounter local products and homegrown businesses as they pass through the airport.
