Dear Atty. Kathy,
Pasig City police officers arrested a top wanted fugitive on Friday night in Las Piñas City, ending nearly nine years on the run for the rape of a 13-year-old girl.
Operatives of the Pasig City Police Station Intelligence Section executed a warrant at about 8:30 p.m. along Gladiola Street in TS Cruz Subdivision, Barangay Almanza Dos.
Authorities identified the suspect as alias Jordan, a vendor residing in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.
The arrest was carried out under a warrant issued on 25 June 2018, by Pasig City Regional Trial Court Branch 261.
The suspect faces a rape charge under the Revised Penal Code in relation to the Family Courts Act of 1997. No bail was recommended.
Police said the suspect had been evading law enforcement since the September 2017 assault of a 13-year-old girl in Nagpayong, Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.
