Subic Bay Freeport - The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) and the Philippines Jinboway Technology Ltd. Corp. (Jinboway) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of four new factory buildings inside this Freeport on 3 September 2026.

SBMA Chairman and Administrator Eduardo Jose L. Aliño and Jinboway CEO Vicky Wei led the groundbreaking ceremony at the Subic Bay Gateway Park where the four buildings will be constructed. The said business expansion has a committed investment P573-million, including the four-smart buildings, to be completed in three years with a projected employment of 1,000 workers.

SBMA Directors Joseph Khonghun, Ruel John Kabigting, Senior Deputy Administrator Renato Lee III, Chief of Staff Von Rodriguez, Department Manager Karen Magno, as well as officials from Jinboway, Subic Bay Development and Management Corp., and SBMA were present during the event.

CEO Wei said, "Just a few years ago, we started in a rented space. Now, we have grown into a big factory with 3,000 employees. This shows Subic is a great place for Jinbo and also Jinbo is a good company for Subic Economic Zone, our goal to make good products here.

Great things start from the ground up. We will use this new factory as a fresh start to make the best products and prove that your trust in us is well placed."

The planned four factories will be used for manufacturing sports and athletic goods, outdoor bags, waterproof backpacks and bags of the same kind, textile and garment, hardware assembly such as outdoor chairs, electronic devices such as electronic car charger, smartphone wall charger, massage chair, foot massager and its related products, importation of raw materials for production to be exported to international markets.

These buildings will also be used for the importation, transshipment, trading, wholesaling export of the aforementioned items.

Chairman Aliño said, "What we witnessed today is not simply the start of four new buildings rising from the ground. It is a statement, one that says Subic Bay Freeport remains a place where serious investors choose to build their future.

Jinbo Way's story here did not begin with a grand gesture. It began modestly, in 2019 with a 5,580-square meter facility, built on the simple decision to trust this Freeport with real capital and real commitment.

That trust has since grown into something far larger: an operation that today employs thousands of Filipino workers, and an expansion now backed by five-million-dollar investment across four new buildings."

Philippines Jinboway Technology Ltd. Corporation is a large-scale manufacturing company specializing in outdoor products, specifically cut-and-sew soft bags and welding products.

Established in 2019, the factory is a prominent locator inside the Subic Bay Freeport Zone and manufactures high-end outdoor gear, including backpacks, gear bags, and lunch bags.
