VP urges gov’t employees’ rights protection

Vice President Sara Duterte called for sustained efforts to safeguard the rights and welfare of government workers during the 18th founding anniversary and General Membership Assembly of the Valencia City Government Employees Union.

In a social media statement reflecting on the event, Duterte highlighted the vital role public servants play in local development, citing that the gathering coincided with the nationwide observance of Civil Service Month.

“I am glad to attend and be with the workers of the local government of Valencia City on their 18th Founding Anniversary and General Membership Assembly,” Duterte said in Tagalog. “Let us keep advocating for every employee’s rights, welfare and dignity.”

The Vice President commended local government personnel for their dedication to public service, noting that Valencia City’s progress demonstrates the strength of cooperation between municipal workers and the private sector.

Duterte also expressed gratitude to the attendees for their continued support for her administration and the Office of the Vice President.
