Police arrested a house painter who forcibly entered a private residence and recovered an improvised firearm, ammunitions, and illegal drugs in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City on Monday night, 31 August.

The suspect was identified only by the alias Johnas, 38, a resident of Barangay Manuyo I, Las Piñas City.

At around 8:40 p.m., duty mobile patrol officers along Quirino Avenue were flagged down by a female resident reporting that the suspect had barged into her home along Kabesang Cilio Street without permission, causing fear among her family members. Responding officers immediately proceeded to the residence and apprehended the suspect.

A search conducted incidental to the arrest yielded one improvised homemade firearm loaded with a .45 caliber live ammunition. Further search revealed two additional live .45 caliber rounds and one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 0.5 grams, with a standard drug price of P3,400.00.

Formal complaints for Trespass to Dwelling (Article 280, RPC), violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), and Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared for filing against suspect.
