TWO alleged illegal recruiters were arrested by CIDG Isabela and DMW Region 2 operatives in Santiago City on 28 August for allegedly collecting P75,000 in fees from applicants promised jobs in Ireland and the Netherlands with salaries of up to P3,200 a month, despite having no DMW authorization.

Authorities arrested two people accused of illegally recruiting workers for jobs in Ireland, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said Sunday.
Emelita Melo and Joseph Arconcil were arrested on 28 August in an entrapment operation in Santiago City, Isabela, following a complaint against an immigration consultancy allegedly offering caregiver jobs in Ireland without a license or authorization from the DMW.
The suspects allegedly offered monthly salaries of up to P3,200, or more than P200,000, along with visa assistance and guaranteed employment, the DMW said.
