Pampanga province authorities dispatched emergency supplies to Barangay Panlinlang in Arayat on Thursday after a portion of a local creek bank collapsed, triggering sandbagging operations to prevent further soil erosion.
Under directives from Governor Lilia Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis Pineda, the Pampanga provincial government delivered two truckloads of filling materials, 2,000 empty sacks, and tarpaulins to the site.
Volunteers and local responders are utilizing the materials to construct temporary protection barriers along the bank to safeguard families living near the affected waterway.
Provincial disaster officials said emergency monitoring remains active around the creek to track ground stability and protect nearby households from further bank collapse.
