  • To prevent further soil erosion at the creek in Barangay Panlinlang in the town of Arayat, Pampanga, the provincial government has send filling materials, empty sacks and tarpaulins for the sandbagging operation being conducted there.

The said materials were sent with the order from Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, as the provincial government eyes to avoid possible soil erosion of the creek bank.

The provincial government sent some two truckloads of filling materials, 2,000 empty sacks and tarpaulins so that volunteers can create temporary protection for the residents living near the affected area of the creek.

The area is currently being monitored to avoid further destruction of the area and ensure the safety of the residents.

Soil erosion has caused a portion of the creek bank to collapse in Barangay Panlinlang, Arayat, Pampanga, prompting immediate disaster response from provincial authorities. According to an update from the provincial government, local officials have initiated emergency countermeasures to protect nearby families.

Barangay Panlinlang is one of the 30 barangays comprising the agricultural municipality of Arayat. Nestled in the third district of Pampanga, the area lies under the direct geographic influence of Mount Arayat and nearby river systems like the Pampanga River.
