Bacoor City enters competitive pickleball

The Bacoor Strikers formally launched their inaugural roster Wednesday during a player contract signing ceremony at Revilla Hall in the Bacoor Government Center, marking the city's official entry into competitive pickleball.
Team owner Mayor Strike B. Revilla, along with Vice Mayor Rowen Bautista Mendiola and Councilor Karen Evaristo, witnessed the signing as the municipal government pledged support for local sports development and expanding athletic programs.
The Strikers' main roster, designated as Team A, features Ricarte Santos, Vince EJ Tugade, Christy Sanosa and Princess Lorben Marie Catindig. The developmental roster, Team B, includes Laurenz Quitara, Kent Octavo, Elise Marie Geluz, Leykie Lei Sanosa and Claro Castillo.
"Pickleball is rapidly gaining popularity, and Bacoor is ready to be part of that movement," Revilla said. "We want the Bacoor Strikers to be a team that our people can be proud of, one that represents the talent, determination and fighting spirit of Bacooreños."
Herbert Legaspi will serve as head coach and team captain, supported by coaches Enriq Enriquez and Felix Abellanosa, alongside assistant coaches Emil Vince Capulong and Elijah Raquiza.
Co-owner Dennis Abella will oversee business operations and team management, while Megawide has signed on as the primary corporate sponsor for the team's upcoming competitive season.
