  • Two Department of Health (DoH) undersecretaries facing complaints before the Office of the Ombudsman have resigned, Malacañang confirmed Saturday.

Randy Escolango and Glenn Matthew Baggao stepped down Monday, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said in a message to reporters.

“Confirmed... in relation to DoH USecs,” Castro said when asked whether the two officials had resigned.

The resignations came as both officials faced separate complaints before the anti-graft body over alleged violations involving government appointments, procurement and public funds.

Escolango, who joined the DoH in August 2025, faced complaints for graft, grave misconduct and other offenses filed by a group of DoH employees.

Baggao, meanwhile, faced two counts of graft and complaints alleging violations of government procurement rules and the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.

The DoH had yet to issue a separate statement as of press time. Two Department of Health (DoH) undersecretaries facing complaints before the Office of the Ombudsman have resigned, Malacañang confirmed Saturday.
