  • A 34-year-old foreign national was apprehended early Wednesday morning after he allegedly harassed a pedestrian and was found concealing a bladed weapon along the streets of Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City.

The incident occurred around 12:10 a.m. along Mayuga Street in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City.

The suspect was identified only by the alias Liagding, 34, a Chinese national residing in Makati City.

According to the report, duty patrollers from the Tambo Police Sub-Station were conducting mobile patrol along Quirino Avenue when a 35-year-old local resident approached them for emergency assistance.

The victim stated that the suspect confronted him without cause, shoved him to the ground, attempted to punch him, and drew an object from his pocket, prompting the victim to flee and flag down the nearby police vehicle.

Responding officers immediately intercepted the suspect at the scene. A subsequent search and frisk resulted in the recovery of a cutter knife from the suspect's possession.

The suspect was turned over to the Investigation and Detective Management Section for formal investigation.

Criminal charges, including unjust vexation, illegal possession of bladed weapons, and Section 32 of Republic Act 7166 in relation to the Omnibus Election Code will be filed against the suspect before the Parañaque City Prosecutor's Office.
