The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has ordered a comprehensive review of police response times across Metro Manila, directing all police districts and stations to evaluate emergency dispatch speed and identify operational bottlenecks.

The audit will examine the entire response chain — from the initial receipt and dispatch of emergency calls to field deployment and arrival at the scene.

Commanders are tasked with evaluating dispatch protocols, communication efficiency, patrol positioning, and unit availability.

"We cannot simply say that the police are always ready. We have to measure how quickly we respond when people call for help and determine where improvements are needed," NCRPO officer-in-charge Police Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano said.

The review will assess whether patrols are strategically positioned based on crime trends and demand periods, aiming to translate police visibility into faster emergency response.

Abrahano cited that the audit will distinguish between unavoidable delays caused by distance, traffic, or road conditions, and internal deficiencies that can be corrected through improved communication, deployment, or supervision.
