SM City La Union officially launched"Art for Everyone 2026 on 19 July, bringing together 150 artists and 250 original artworks in a regional exhibition celebrating the artistic heritage of La Union and the Ilocos Region.
The exhibit, which runs until 31 July, showcases works primarily by artists from La Union, alongside contributions from neighboring provinces across the Ilocos Region.
Art For Everyone is SM Supermalls' nationwide initiative that provides Filipino artists with a platform to exhibit their work, share the stories behind their creations, and connect with a wider audience. The program also aims to promote appreciation for original Filipino art by making it more accessible to communities nationwide.
Among the featured artists is 32-year-old deaf visual artist Louie Arandia of Bangar, La Union. Through his work, Arandia uses art as a medium for self-expression, highlighting experiences and perspectives beyond spoken language. His five featured pieces—Ayayaten Ka, Puso ti Agri-Turismo, ELYU, and the Balitok a Dutdot series—reflect themes of hometown pride, hope, perseverance, and embracing individuality.
Most of the artworks on display are available for purchase, giving visitors, collectors, and art enthusiasts an opportunity to support local artists while expanding their collections.
