Julia Garner and musician Mark Foster have reportedly ended their marriage after six years together.

The news was first reported by People, which said the couple had separated but did not disclose what led to the reported split. Neither Garner nor Foster has publicly commented on the report, and representatives for both have yet to issue a statement.

The Emmy-winning Ozark actress and the Foster the People frontman married in 2019 during an intimate courthouse ceremony in New York City. Their wedding came months after Foster proposed while the pair were vacationing in Montana. Garner later revealed to Vogue that the proposal included a handwritten poem.

Although they first crossed paths at the Sundance Film Festival in 2013, their romance didn't begin until years later through an unlikely exchange on social media.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Garner recalled noticing that Foster had been repeatedly liking her Instagram posts.

"I was like, 'Who's this guy liking all my photos? Is this a stalker?'" she joked. "I clicked on him and I was like, 'Oh, Mark. Oh, he's cute.' I followed him back, and then he DM'd me."

That online interaction eventually blossomed into a relationship, engagement and marriage.

For now, however, the pair appear to have gone their separate ways, bringing to a close a six-year union that largely stayed out of the spotlight. Neither has addressed the reported separation publicly.
