Judy Ann Santos couldn’t hide her pride after her son, Juan Luis “Lucho” Agoncillo, earned the Player of the Match award during an international football tournament in Spain.
The award-winning actress marked the milestone by sharing photos from the competition, including action shots of Lucho on the field and moments with husband Ryan Agoncillo as they cheered him on from the sidelines.
In a heartfelt message, Judy Ann praised her son’s determination and growth, saying every match reflects the passion and hard work he pours into the sport.
“Watching how you pour your heart, energy and dedication into every game… You are amazing. Being named ‘Player of the Match’ and for your team to rank 16 out of 70+ international teams… you’ve come a long way, my love.”
While celebrating Lucho’s athletic success, Judy Ann said the victories that matter most happen beyond the football pitch. She revealed that seeing her son remain affectionate and grounded despite his achievements gives her the greatest joy.
“The tight hugs and kisses you give me and dada every after game… the way you still kiss your sisters on their forehead every time you see them, makes me more prouder of the man you’re becoming.”
The actress also assured Lucho that she and Ryan will continue to stand behind him as he pursues his dreams, adding a lighthearted promise that she would happily keep cooking his favorite meals and doing his laundry for every tournament.
“Go and chase your dreams. We will support you no matter what… as long as you want me to cook rice, adobo and salpicao for you and do your laundry for every tournament, I will do so with a very happy heart.”
Judy Ann has consistently supported Lucho’s football journey, regularly traveling with him to local and international competitions while celebrating his milestones on social media. She previously spoke about admiring her son’s discipline, noting that he remains committed to balancing his studies with the demands of competitive football.
Lucho is the only son of Judy Ann and Ryan Agoncillo. The couple also has two daughters, Yohan and Luna, who continue to cheer him on as he builds his promising career in the sport.
