The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Wednesday reaffirmed its commitment to organizational excellence and institutional transformation.
It recognized outstanding units at the recent AFP Transformation Roadmap Institutionalization Pathway (AFPTRIP) Awarding during the Flag Raising ceremony on 6 July, presided over by AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr.Recognized units were the Accounting Center, AFP; AFP General Headquarters and Headquarters Service Command (GHQ&HSC); National Capital Region Command; and Northern Luzon Command, all of which received Recertified Status.
The Real Estate Office, AFP earned the Institutionalized Status with Silver Governance Trailblazer Certification, while the Joint Special Operations Command and Civil-Military Operations Command were conferred Institutionalized Status for meeting governance and organizational excellence standards.
Brawner also recognized 14 distinguished partners with the inaugural Golden Flame of Partnership Award. The award honors organizations and individuals whose steadfast support and collaboration have significantly contributed to advancing the AFP's mission of safeguarding the nation, strengthening institutional governance, enhancing public engagement, and promoting national development.
The awardees include Ayala Corporation; BDO Foundation, Inc.; BDO Network Bank; Metrobank Foundation, Inc.; the Joint United States Military Assistance Group Philippines (JUSMAG-PH); Globe Telecom; the Development Academy of the Philippines; Mr. Francisco F. Del Rosario Jr., Chairperson of the AFP Multi-Sector Governance Council (MSGC); Governor Maria Angelica Rosedell Amante of Agusan del Norte; Ms. Lourdes T. Gutierrez-Alfonso, President and CEO of Megaworld Corporation; Asia Pacific College; Ms. Karen Lema, Reuters Bureau Chief for the Philippines and President of the Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines (FOCAP); Mr. Archie Inlong, Chairman and President-CEO of NPI Communication Consulting, Inc.; and GMA Kapuso Foundation, Inc.
"We recognize our outstanding stakeholders who were awarded the Golden Flame of Partnership Award. Your partnership means so much to the AFP because without your help and support, the AFP would not be able to achieve what we have achieved throughout the years of our existence," Brawner said.
