The Office of the Vice President (OVP) reported strong fiscal discipline and efficient use of public funds in 2025, posting high budget utilization rates while maintaining a solid performance in government financial accountability.

In a statement, the OVP said its 2025 annual report showed the agency obligated 92.32 percent of its P913.243 million budget allocation under current and continuing appropriations.

The agency said the strong budget utilization allowed government resources to be directed toward priority programs and services benefiting communities nationwide, including those in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.

The OVP also posted an 81-percent disbursement rate, reflecting the timely conversion of budget allocations into actual spending and the efficient implementation of programs and projects.

Its budget performance follows the agency’s very satisfactory rating in the 2024 Annual Performance Review conducted by the Department of Budget and Management, an independent assessment that recognized the OVP’s sound fiscal discipline, efficient budget execution, and absorptive capacity exceeding 90 percent.

According to the report, these accomplishments were driven by structured financial planning, prudent fiscal management, and strict compliance with financial controls, allowing the agency to sustain program deliveries while ensuring transparency and accountability in the use of public funds.

The OVP said its commitment to responsible budget management reflects its continuing mission to provide responsive, accessible and accountable public service to Filipinos across the country.
