The Office of the Vice President (OVP) reported strong fiscal management and efficient use of public funds in 2025, posting high budget utilization and maintaining strong performance in government financial accountability.

In a statement, the OVP, according to its 2025 annual report, obligated 92.32 percent of its P913.243 million allocation under current and continuing appropriations.

Because of this, the agency added, government resources were directed toward priority programs and services that reached communities across the country, including geographically isolated areas.

The OVP also recorded an 81 percent disbursement rate, reflecting the timely conversion of budget obligations into actual payments and the effective implementation of programs and projects.

The OVP's budget performance complements its Very Satisfactory rating in the 2024 Annual Performance Review conducted by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), an independent assessment that recognized the OVP's sound fiscal discipline, efficient budget execution, and strong absorptive capacity of over 90 percent.

The report attributed these achievements to structured financial planning, prudent fiscal management, and strict adherence to established financial controls, enabling the agency to sustain program implementation while ensuring accountability and transparency in the use of public funds.

The OVP said its continued commitment to responsible budget utilization underscores its mission of delivering responsive, accessible, and accountable public service to Filipinos nationwide.
