A listed street-level drug personality was arrested during a buy-bust operation along Kalayaan Avenue corner Luzon Street, Barangay Pitogo, Taguig City on Saturday night.

The suspect, identified only by the alias Jeric, 30, a delivery rider and resident of Barangay Pitogo, was arrested after selling one heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to a police officer acting as poseur buyer.

During the operation, police recovered six more sachets containing the same suspected illegal drug from the suspect’s possession, along with two marked P100 bills and one P1,000 boodle bill used as buy-bust money.

The confiscated specimens were submitted for laboratory examination, while the suspect remains in police custody.

Criminal charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, have been filed against the suspect and are now undergoing inquest proceedings before the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office.
