A fresh retelling of Jane Austen’s beloved novel Sense and Sensibility is headed to Philippine cinemas this October, with Daisy Edgar-Jones and Esmé Creed-Miles leading the cast as sisters Elinor and Marianne Dashwood.
Universal Pictures has unveiled the official trailer for the film, directed by Georgia Oakley and written by Diana Reid. The adaptation revisits Austen’s timeless story of love, family, and resilience, following two sisters as they navigate heartbreak, societal expectations, and the search for happiness after their family’s fortunes take an unexpected turn.
The film also stars Caitríona Balfe, Frank Dillane, George MacKay and Fiona Shaw. Produced by Focus Features and Working Title, Sense and Sensibility opens in Philippine cinemas on 28 October.
