BAGUIO CITY — A 54-year-old pilot suddenly collapsed while positioning his ball on Green No. 2 during the Philippine Military Academy Game of the Cavaliers Golf Tournament at the Camp John Hay Golf Course in Baguio City.
His companions attempted to revive him through cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), but efforts were unsuccessful. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals declared him dead on arrival.
According to his companions, the pilot appeared to be in good spirits and showed no visible signs of illness or health concerns prior to the incident.
The body has since been transported to his home in Biñan, Laguna. His identity, a Philippine Military Academy alumnus, was withheld at the request of his family.
Local authorities have yet to release an official cause of death pending further investigation.
