BingoPlus has been named a top-tier sponsor of the Philippine President’s Trophy Cup 2026, as the Asian Tour confirmed the Philippines as the opening stop of its 2026 season during a press conference at the Manila Golf & Country Club on 12 January.

The tournament will be held at Wack Wack Golf & Country Club, one of the country’s most historic golf courses and a longtime host of the Philippine Open.

Officials said the event is sanctioned by the Asian Tour and staged in partnership with the Philippine Sports Commission. Tournament management will be handled by the National Golf Association of the Philippines, with BingoPlus providing major sponsorship support as part of broader public-private collaboration aimed at strengthening local golf and sports tourism.

The Philippine President’s Trophy Cup will run from 5 to 8 February, with a Pro-Am scheduled on 4 February. The tournament will feature a 144-player field composed of Asian Tour members, Filipino professional golfers, and select amateur players included under a grassroots development program.

Asian Tour Commissioner and CEO Cho Minn Thant welcomed the backing from both government and private partners, saying, “It is very encouraging to see both the public and private sector getting behind this event with the Philippine Sports Commission and BingoPlus coming on board to support and highlight their commitment to golf in the Philippines, I am confident that with everyone’s collective effort the event will make a tremendous impact and be a great success.”

Rafael Jasper Vicencio, president of AB Leisure Exponent Inc., said the partnership reflects a broader commitment to sports development. “Through this partnership, BingoPlus alongside our parent company DigiPlus, shows its strong commitment and reaffirms its support in sports, bridging the gap and making it more reachable and accessible to aspiring local athletes out there,” he said.

Organizers said the inclusion of the Philippines on the Asian Tour calendar is expected to generate wider media attention, elevate the profile of Filipino golfers, and help position the country as a competitive destination for international sporting events.

BingoPlus is operated by DigiPlus Interactive Corp., which also runs ArenaPlus and other digital entertainment platforms. The company said its continued involvement in major sporting events aligns with efforts to strengthen collaboration between the public and private sectors while promoting world-class sporting experiences in the country.
