

Amazon MGM Studios has officially kicked off production on Tomb Raider, celebrating the milestone with a striking first-look image of Sophie Turner as the iconic adventurer Lara Croft.
Released on Thursday, 15 January, the image teases Turner’s bold transformation, complete with signature elements inspired by the beloved video game franchise.
The upcoming Prime Video series is based on the globally popular Tomb Raider games, which follow the high-stakes exploits of world-renowned archaeologist and adventurer Lara Croft.
Turner leads an ensemble cast that includes Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Martin Bobb-Semple, Jack Bannon, John Heffernan, Bill Paterson, Paterson Joseph, Sasha Luss, Juliette Motamed, Celia Imrie and August Wittgenstein.
The series is spearheaded by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), who serves as creator, writer, executive producer and co-showrunner alongside Chad Hodge. Jonathan Van Tulleken joins the project as director and executive producer.
Tomb Raider is executive produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Crystal Dynamics, Legendary Television and Story Kitchen, with Waller-Bridge and Jenny Robins producing under Wells Street Films. The series is produced by Story Kitchen, Crystal Dynamics and Amazon MGM Studios.
