Long before Klea Pineda came into Janella Salvador’s life, there was already a Hannah Grace Padua.
Unlike Salvador’s romantic interlude with Pineda, her episode with Padua was low-key but was an open secret with friends and those involved in the last Darna series where Jane de Leon played the iconic komiks lead character and where Salvador delineated an equally iconic character as Valentina.
It was during Darna where Salvador and Padua’s romance peaked, which started when the former appeared in her music video, Hey You. Padua, in both projects, was part of the technical team, as assistant director in Darna and as director in Hey You releases in 2024.
Thus, when we heard of Salvador and Pineda’s budding romance which got its romantic footing in the movie they starred together, we were no longer surprised.
Oops, Janella did it again! That’s how we felt.
Melanie Marquez reveals abuse by American husband
Former beauty queen Melanie Marquez unabashedly revealed the abuses she went through from the hands of her husband Randy “Adam” Lawyer.
In her interview with Boy Abunda on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda Monday, 5 January, Marquez revealed she officially requested the Bureau of Immigration to cancel her husband’s visa and blacklist him.
A string of mental, psychological and physical abuse are what led Marquez to sever her marital ties with her husband.
In the interview, Marquez recalled the physical abuses she experienced at the hands of her husband — being punched while sleeping and being threatened with a gun. From these physical abuses, Marquez suffered damaged eardrum and a fractured rib.
“Natutulog ako, Tito Boy, magkatabi kami. ‘Tapos, akala ko napanaginipan kong may sumuntok sa akin. But then, naalimpungatan ako. Parang nakita ko siyang nakatingin sa akin tapos sinuntok n’ya ako,” the former beauty queen recalled, (I was sleeping, Tito Boy, we’re sleepinh side by side. Then, I thought I dreamt someone punched me. But then I woke up. It was like I saw him looking at me then he punched me).”
The punch was so strong that when she had it checked up, she was told she has a damaged eardrum.
There was even a time that her husband allegedly pointed a gun asking to solve her problem which concerns his business.
“I don’t want him to come back here,” Marquez said.
No Christmas rush vibe
Doing last minute shopping in Greenbelt had Vice Ganda realizing one thing - politicians avoid being publicly seen in high-end malls.
In his latest vlog, the It’s Showtime host noticed how there’s low foot traffic in Makati during the eleventh hour of Christmas shopping.
“Feeling ko talaga wala masyado namimili ngayon lalong-lalo na ‘yung mga pulitiko hindi sila masyado namimili, hindi sila masyado nagpapahalata at nagpapakita sa mga mall-mall, kaya discreet-discreet lang sila , (I felt that there was not a lot of Christmas shopping this year. More so for the politicians – who were not out shopping. They did not make their presence in the malls felt. They stayed discreet),” Vice noted.
