AweSM Cebu 2026 lights up SM malls with city-wide Sinulog celebrations

Sinulog festivities kick into high gear as AweSM Cebu 2026 transforms three major Cebu malls — SM City Cebu, SM Seaside City Cebu, and SM J Mall — into a city-wide celebration featuring immersive exhibits, cultural showcases, food festivals, and star-studded events.

Designed for families, food lovers, creatives, and festivalgoers, AweSM Cebu 2026 offers curated experiences that build in energy, scale, and excitement as Sinulog season unfolds.

At SM City Cebu, the celebration goes into full festival mode, blending shopping, spectacle, and entertainment. Sinulogtopia with Islands Souvenirs runs from 3 to 28 January at the Lower Ground of the Main Mall, while the GLOW CITY: Sinulog Centerpiece lights up the North Wing Atrium from 8 to 21 January. The AweSM Glow Dance Competition takes place on 17 January at the North Wing, followed by live appearances from Coco Martin on 17 January at the Lower Ground of the Main Mall and the Kapuso Stars Mall Show on 18 January at the Main Mall.

Meanwhile, SM Seaside City Cebu anchors the festivities with experiences rooted in Cebuano faith and culture. The Sto. Niño Exhibit serves as the spiritual centerpiece from 8 to 28 January at the Cube Wing Atrium. Local flavors take the spotlight during Nakakalokal Goes to SM Seaside from 16 to 18 January at the Mountain Wing Atrium, alongside the AweSM Lechon Fest from 12 to 18 January at the Seaview Wing Atrium. Entertainment highlights include the Sinulog Kapamilya Caravan on 17 January at the concert grounds and the AweSM Petstival on 24 January at the Mountain Wing Atrium.

At SM J Mall, AweSM Cebu 2026 opens on a reflective and artistic note. Vested in Devotion: Cebu’s Fashion in Faith runs from 9 to 31 January at The Atrium, Upper Ground, followed by Vested in Devotion: Rhythms of Cebu on 18 January and the Vested in Devotion: Runway Edition on 31 January. Creative activities include AweSM Mask Painting on January 10 at Kyureto Art Space, Second Level. Shoppers can also enjoy the AweSM Cebu Sale 2026 from 12 to 18 January across participating stores in all three malls.

The celebrations culminate on 18 January with simultaneous grand finales. SM City Cebu hosts ILLUMINIGHT: Sinulog Drone and Pyro Show at 7 p.m. fronting the North Wing expansion building, while SM Seaside City Cebu stages the AweSM Skypark Grand Pyro Display at 9 p.m., lighting up the Cebu skyline in a city-wide spectacle celebrating devotion, creativity, and festivity at their peak.
