A regional-level most wanted person was arrested by the tracker team of the Cardona Municipal Police Station in Barangay Looc, Cardona, Rizal, on Sunday night, 4 January.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Boknoy,” 43, was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the Binangonan Regional Trial Court Branch 69 for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, for the service of sentence.
He is currently detained at the Cardona Municipal Police Station custodial facility, while police process the return of the warrant to the court of origin for the issuance of a commitment order.
“The arrest of Alias ‘Boknoy’ is a testament to the Rizal PPO’s continuous focus on wanted persons in the region. Through orderly and legal operations, we ensure that the law is upheld and the public remains safe,” said P/Col. Feloteo Gonzalgo, director of the Rizal Police Provincial Office.
“We will continue to intensify our intelligence-driven operations to ensure that more criminals are apprehended and held accountable under the law,” he added.
