A motorcycle rider was killed after an SUV slammed into a gasoline station in Barangay Sto. Cristo, City of San Jose del Monte (CSJDM), Bulacan on Friday, triggering panic among customers lined up for fuel.
Witnesses said a Mitsubishi Pajero with plate number XCW 468 first crashed into a metal barrier at the Uno Fuel gas station before careening into people waiting to refuel. One of the victims, who was on his motorcycle, was knocked down, trapped under the vehicle, and dragged toward the station’s parking area.
The rider was rushed for medical attention but was later declared dead by the attending physician.
Two others were also hurt in the incident — a woman who was waiting in line for gasoline and a female pump attendant. Both were taken for treatment.
Witnesses added that the driver, an elderly man, was not carrying a driver’s license at the time of the incident.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the crash.
