The Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO) arrested a suspected drug trader from Bulacan and seized nearly P374,000 worth of illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation early Sunday.
In a report to NEPPO chief Police Colonel Heryl “Daguit” L. Bruno, police said joint operatives from the Talavera Police Station (lead unit), PSOG, and PIU-NEPPO carried out the operation in Barangay Pinagpanaan, Talavera. The operation led to the arrest of a 26-year-old suspect from Barangay Malipangpang, San Ildefonso, Bulacan.
Authorities recovered around 55 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P374,000.
The suspect is set to face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“This remorseless drug trader traveled from another province just to sell illegal drugs in Nueva Ecija,” Bruno said. “He will face the full force of the law.”
