Digital forensic examination of the mobile phone of a missing bride-to-be in Quezon City suggests she was distressed over her father’s illness and financial problems.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Acting Director P/Col. Randy Glenn Silvio said on Sunday that the examination indicates Sherra De Juan faced emotional and financial stress linked to her father’s medical condition and her upcoming wedding.

Further analysis of her laptop revealed online searches on medications that could cause death, effects of overdosing on certain drugs, and similar content.

“The QCPD treats this case with the utmost seriousness and sensitivity. All possible efforts are being made to locate Sherra, and coordination with family members, concerned units, and relevant agencies is ongoing,” Silvio said.

“Umaapela ang QCPD sa publiko na kung sino man ang nakakita kay Sherra o kasalukuyang kasama niya ay agad makipag-ugnayan sa pinakamalapit na istasyon ng pulisya upang matiyak ang kanyang kaligtasan at mabawasan ang pangamba ng kanyang pamilya,” the police chief added.

(“The QCPD appeals to the public that anyone who has seen Sherra or is currently with her should immediately contact the nearest police station to ensure her safety and ease her family’s worries.”)

De Juan was last seen at a Petron Gas Station along Commonwealth Avenue corner Atherton Street, North Fairview, Quezon City, at around 1:30 p.m. on 10 December, four days before her scheduled wedding to Mark Arjay Reyes.
