Franseth to terrify for their second MMFF movie

Closing out 2025 on a high note, the final Spotlight Presscon put the highlight on Star Magic artists who will star in this year’s upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) movies.

Among those were Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin — stars of this year’s Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins.

The loveteam arrived fresh from their win at the 41st PMPC Star Awards for Movies, taking home Movie Loveteam of the Year for My Future You, last year’s MMFF entry in which they led the cast.

This year, they’re back on the big screen, ready to make the holidays even more memorable with their performance.

“From My Future You na wala kami masyadong inexpect. Gusto lang talaga namin noon na ma-appreciate ‘yung ginawa namin; lahat ng pinaghirapan namin para sa pelikula. Sabi nga namin last year, audition ulit namin ito sa lahat ng mga tao…Kailangan gagalingan natin (We didn’t expect much. We just wanted to be appreciated for what we did; all the hard work we put into the film. As we said last year, we’ll audition for everyone again... We need to get better),” Francine shared.

“And now, returning to MMFF, this time Shake, Rattle & Roll. It’s a legacy hindi lang ng Regal pero tingin ko buong Pilipinas — bawat pamilyang Pinoy. Now parte na kami ng legacy na ‘yun (It is a legacy, not just a role. I think that it is a legacy not just for Regal but for the whole country. And I am now a part of that legacy),” the young actress added.

Much can be expected from the duo, especially after their standout performance at their recent project, Sins of the Father. They also remain one of today’s well-established loveteams, continuously supported and followed by the public.

Seth reflected about the things they are grateful for: “Gusto ko lang magpasalamat sa ABS-CBN, sa Star Magic family, and to Regal Entertainment dahil sa kabila ng lahat ng pagsubok, problema, at lahat ng sa tingin namin hindi namin kaya solusyonan, hanggang ngayon, nandiyan pa rin silang nakasuporta sa amin (I would like to thank ABS-CBN, Star Magic famiily and to Regal Entertainment because after all the trials and problems that we have not been able to solve — they are still here supporting us),” Acting-wise and in making their fans feel appreciated, Francine and Seth have never fallen short. This holiday season, they are sure to deliver once again — to leave the Filipino audience delighted and happy.
