Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III attended a Christmas gathering with agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) from four provinces in Cagayan Valley during a communal boodle fight held in Tuguegarao City on Monday, 15 December.
The event brought together ARBs from Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino. Estrella led the grace before meals in Ilokano before the communal lunch.
ARB Eddie Servera of Barangay Andabuen, Benito Soliven, Isabela, said the gathering provided an opportunity for farmers to exchange experiences related to food production and livelihood activities.
During the event, Estrella said the government continues to provide support to agrarian reform communities, including assistance aimed at increasing farm productivity. He cited the delivery of P400 million worth of support services by the DAR to agrarian reform communities in Cagayan Valley.
The Department said the support included farm-related assistance intended to benefit agrarian reform beneficiaries in the region.
