Malacañang on Tuesday announced the appointment of Anna Liza Logan as the new Presidential Chief Legal Counsel, replacing the late Juan Ponce Enrile.
Logan, who previously served as Deputy Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs, brings extensive experience in civil and criminal litigation, as well as family, labor, and human settlements adjudication commission cases.
She is currently a partner at the law firm Logan Masukat Ronulo Huang and has previously served as a junior partner at Marcos Ochoa Serapio and Tan (MOST), the firm associated with First Lady Liza Marcos.
Earlier this year, Logan sought the position of Ombudsman following the retirement of Samuel Martires, though she was not selected for the role.
In a media briefing, Palace Press Officer Atty. Claire Castro introduced seven new officials within the Office of the Executive Secretary (OES), now led by Ralph Recto. The appointment was part of a broader reshuffle of officials in Malacañang under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
