Various government agencies launched a coordinated effort to boost the development of farmer cooperative in the town of Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija on 4 December 2025.
According to Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Regional Extension Office III Regional Director Marieta P. Hwang, the agency conducted a Pre-Registration Seminar (PRS) to the said farmer cooperative at the Conference Hall of the Municipal Hall of Gabaldon.
The said seminar is in coordination with the Provincial Cooperative and Entrepreneurship Development Office (PCEDO) and the Municipal Cooperative Development Officer (MCDO) under the leadership of Mayor Jobby Emata.
After the seminar, the agency conducted a consultation along with the Gabaldon Farmers Agriculture Cooperative to discuss the state of their operation, inclulding updates and current needs of the group.
The agencies also conducted a validation of registration of the Gabaldon Tricycle Operators and Drivers Service Cooperative (Gab TODA) as part of the process in creating their group as a full-fledged cooperative.
The said efforts conducted by the government agencies show trust and confidence by the community in the cooperative as an economic mechanism for development and social justice.
The coordinated efforts of the CDA, PCEDO, and MCDO continue to become an invaluable force to boost cooperatives and push for a more inclusive development in the community.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Government of Nueva Ecija continues to provide strong support for the initiatives in cooperative development. With the leadership of Governor Aurelio Oyie Matias Umali and Vice Governor Lemon Umali, the coordination between the agencies and LGU becomes more effective in implementing programs that aim to boost the livelihood and opportunity of Nueva Ecija.
