The PhilHealth Region III hailed the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) as a Universal Health Care Champion during PhilHealth’s Regional Recognition Program held at the Kingsborough International Convention Center in San Fernando, Pampanga, in November.
According to PhilHealth, the agency has expanded health protection and accessible medical services for Clark Freeport workers. CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera said the recognition affirms the corporation’s role in promoting worker welfare and strengthening community health.
“Healthy workers build a stronger Clark. This recognition reflects our continuing commitment to align CDC’s programs with national priorities under the Universal Health Care Act,” she said.
PhilHealth Region III cited CDC’s exemplary performance as a government regulatory agency in supporting the full implementation of the Universal Health Care Act (RA 11223) within the Freeport community.
Through its Health and Sanitation Division (CDC-HSD), CDC operates the PhilHealth Konsulta Facility, an accredited provider of primary care, preventive services, and wellness programs for Freeport workers.
The division has also expanded health-oriented initiatives, including the launch of a Healthy Lifestyle Forum this year to promote employee wellness.
