More flood control documents were received by the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) from the Philippine National Police–Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) on Monday.
The submitted documents will be reviewed for possible anomalies in the flood control projects implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
To recall, last month, the police submitted 95 boxes of evidence related to 28 alleged ghost flood control projects to the ICI.
Atty. Brian Keith Hosaka, ICI spokesperson, previously said the documents will be used for case build-up.
Hosaka said the ICI is looking into a total of 421 suspected ghost projects.
The ICI official added that investigators are also focusing on the top 15 contractors previously flagged by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during his last State of the Nation Address (SONA).
