Authorities have arrested the suspect involved in the shooting incident at Barangay Mangan-vaca in the town of Subic, Zambales, on 2 November 2025.
The Subic Municipal Police Station (MPS) and the Castillejos MPS apprehended the suspect earlier today.
According to the victim, the suspect—who was his boardmate—had just returned home when an altercation broke out, during which the suspect shot him.
The victim recounted that he was shot in the shoulder, while the suspect fled the scene on a motorcycle.
After receiving the complaint, the Subic MPS immediately responded and launched a manhunt operation.
Witnesses reported seeing the suspect heading toward Castillejos, prompting the Castillejos MPS to assist in the operation.
The suspect was arrested in Barangay Nagbayan in the neighboring town of Castillejos, Zambales.
A caliber .22 pistol and live ammunition were confiscated from the suspect, while the victim is now in stable condition at a hospital.
The suspect is facing charges including frustrated murder and violation of RA 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
