The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) ordering the temporary closure of Lingayen Airport in Pangasinan in observance of All Saints’ and All Souls Day.

CAAP said the closure started on 7:00 a.m. on 31 October and will last until 4:00 p.m. on 2 November. 

Lingayen Airport is located beside Lingayen Public Cemetery and is often used as a shortcut by cemetery visitors. CAAP said the temporary suspension of operations is needed for public safety and flight security.

The aviation authority added that this covers all flight operations including those of the three flying schools based in Lingayen Airport.
